Josh Taillon
Josh Taillon is a Principal Software Engineer on the Open Source/Shiny team at Posit, PBC. He is a scientist by training, an open source advocate by nature, and a software engineer by trade. He maintains various open source projects including HyperSpy, a widely used Python library for multidimensional data analysis, as well as NexusLIMS, originally developed during his time at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. His software work spans the full stack, from backend data systems and automated pipelines to frontend interfaces and interactive analysis tools, and is grounded in deep domain expertise in scientific data management and materials research.
